Syringoceras granulosostriatus
Taxonomy
Ammonites granulosostriatus was named by Klipstein (1843). Its type specimen is BMNH C.35952 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is St. Cassian (Klipstein BMNH coll), which is in a Julian carbonate limestone in the Cassian Formation of Italy.
It was recombined as Nautilus granulosostriatus by von Mojsisovics (1882) and Arthaber (1896); it was recombined as Syringoceras granulosostriatus by Kummel (1953) and Tongtherm et al. (2016).
