Taxonomy
Protornoceras mirabile was named by Dybczynski (1913). It is the type species of Tornia.

It was recombined as Tornia mirabilis by Korn and Klug (2002); it was recombined as Tornia mirabile by Woroncowa-Marcinowska (2006).
