Parastenodus gillensis
Taxonomy
Parastenodus gillensis was named by David (1946). Its type specimen is Richfield Oil 110, a dermal scale, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Seaboard Oil Corp.,Gill No. 1 (3935 ft and deeper assemblages), which is in an Eocene/Eocene marine shale in the Kreyenhagen Formation of California.
