It was assigned to Creotarsinae by Van Valen (1967); to Dormaaliidae by Weitzel (1949), Novacek et al. (1985); to Amphilemurinae by Smith et al. (2002); to Sespedectidae by Gunnell et al. (2008); and to Amphilemuridae by Smith and Smith (1995), Hooker and Russell (2012), Rose et al. (2012).
