Aletomeryx

Synonyms
  • Blastomeryx pristinus was named by Cook (1934). Its type specimen is No. HC669, a tooth (left upper molar), and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Agate Springs Quarries, which is in a Harrisonian channel sandstone in the Marsland Formation of Nebraska.

    It was considered a nomen dubium by Prothero (2008).
  • Dyseomeryx was named by Stirton (1944) [named as a subgenus by Matthew 1924; raised to genus level].

    It was synonymized subjectively with Aletomeryx by Whistler (1984).
