Arabicarcinus was named by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2017). It is not extant. Its type is Arabicarcinus arumensis. It is the type genus of Arabicarcinidae.

It was assigned to Arabicarcinidae by Schweitzer and Feldmann (2017), Schweitzer et al. (2018).
