Taxonomy
Tetrameryx conklingi was named by Stock (1930). It is the type species of Stockoceros.

It was recombined as Stockoceros conklingi by Frick (1937), Skinner (1942), Kurten and Anderson (1980) and Bravo-Cuevas et al. (2013).
