Apatosaurus ajax

Taxonomy
Apatosaurus ajax was named by Marsh (1877). Its type specimen is YPM 1860, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lakes Quarry 10, Morrison (YPM), which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian channel mudstone/sandstone in the Morrison Formation of Colorado.

It was recombined as Atlantosaurus ajax by Steel (1970); it was considered a nomen dubium by Galiano and Albersdörfer (2010) and Galiano and Albersdörfer (2010).
