Barosaurus lentus

Reptilia - Diplodocidae

Taxonomy
Barosaurus lentus was named by Marsh (1890). Its type specimen is YPM 429, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hatch Ranch, Piedmont Butte, which is in a Kimmeridgian/Tithonian wet floodplain claystone in the Morrison Formation of South Dakota.
