Taxonomy
Trochus wisbyensis was named by Lindström (1884). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Trochonema wisbyensis by Ulrich and Scofield (1897); it was corrected as Trochus visbyensis by Manten (1971); it was recombined as Boucotspira wisbyensis by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
