Parasaniwa wyomingensis
Taxonomy
Parasaniwa wyomingensis was named by Gilmore (1928). Its type specimen is USNM 10797, a mandible (fragmentary left dentary with one complete and two broken teeth), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lance Creek (AMNH 1892 general), which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial horizon in the Lance Formation of Wyoming. It is the type species of Parasaniwa.
