Taxonomy
Pseudorca yokoyamai was named by Matsumoto (1926) [type specimen figured, but no number or museum listed: paratype = Imperial Museum of Ueno, 2216]. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Hommoku, which is in a Calabrian marine horizon in the Sanuki Formation of Japan.
