Thescelosaurus edmontonensis
Taxonomy
Thescelosaurus edmontonensis was named by Sternberg (1940). Its type specimen is NMC No. 8537, a skeleton (nearly complete skeleton with partial skull and partial forelimbs), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 8 miles northwest of Rumsey (260 ft level) [NMC], which is in a Maastrichtian terrestrial sandstone in the Scollard Formation of Canada.
It was synonymized subjectively with Thescelosaurus neglectus by Galton (1989), Sues and Norman (1990), Galton (1995), Norman et al. (2004), Butler et al. (2008).
