Rapator ornitholestoides

Taxonomy
Rapator ornitholestoides was named by Huene (1932). Its type specimen is BMNH R.3718, a limb element (left metacarpal I), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lightning Ridge (general), which is in a Cenomanian estuary/bay claystone in the Griman Creek Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Rapator.

It was synonymized subjectively with Walgettosuchus woodwardi by Steel (1970); it was considered a nomen dubium by Agnolin et al. (2010), Carrano et al. (2012); it was considered a nomen dubium by Bell et al. (2019), Brougham et al. (2019), Aranciaga Rolando et al. (2022).
