Holopea coronata was named by Koken and Perner (1925) [Holopea coronata Koken in Koken & Perner 1925]. It is not extant. Its type locality is Pühalepa, Dagö-Kertel, which is in a Vormsi open shallow subtidal limestone in the Korgessaare Formation of Estonia.
