Tryblidium was named by Angelin and Lindström (1880) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l S Wenl Sepkoski's reference number: 1]. It is not extant. Its type is Tryblidium reticulatum.
It was corrected as Triblidium by Koken (1897).
