Taxonomy
Pycnomphalus borkholmiensis was named by Koken (1897). It is not extant. Its type locality is Porkuni, Siuge Member, which is in a Porkuni perireef or subreef lime mudstone/chert in the Ă„rina Formation of Estonia.
It was recombined as Trochomphalus borkholmiensis by Wagner (1999) and Wagner (2023).
