Maxakalisaurus topai
Taxonomy
Maxakalisaurus topai was named by Kellner et al. (2006). Its type specimen is MN 5013-V, a set of postcrania, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sierra de Boa Vista, which is in a Campanian/Maastrichtian fluvial sandstone/conglomerate in the Adamantina Formation of Brazil. It was considered monophyletic by Kellner et al. (2006).
