Taxonomy
Marginella (Serrata) vadosa was named by Gardner (1947). Its type specimen is USNM 351302, a shell, and it is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is USGS Loc. 3742 - Mossyhead [Shoal River Fm], which is in a Serravallian marine marl/sandstone in the Shoal River Formation of Florida.
