Coelodiscus was named by Broesamlen (1909) [Sepkoski's age data: J Toar-l J Bajo Sepkoski's reference number: 1,1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Euomphalus minutus.
It was assigned to Euomphalidae by Knight et al. (1960); to Neotaenioglossa by Sepkoski (2002); and to Coelodiscidae by Gründel and Nützel (2013).
