Stratigraphy
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: | hummocky CS,flute casts, gray lithified calcareous siltstone |
Secondary lithology: | shelly/skeletal lithified "limestone" |
Includes fossils? | Y |
Lithology description: light olive gray shaly siltstone with beds of laminated fine sandstone (5-35%), sometimes calcareous and occasionally occurring in hummocky crossbedded lenses and gutter casts. Cream colored bioclastic limestone in 1-7cm thick layers and occassionally as gutter fillings, make up 5-40% of the interval. Many of the bioclastic layers contain tubular fossils. |

Collection methods and comments
Collection methods: | bulk,field collection |
Reason for describing collection: | biostratigraphic analysis |
Collection method comments: Most of the trilobites are found as broken sclerites in thin bioclastic limestone, but intact cephala are occasionally found in the shaly siltstone. |
