Stratigraphy
Formation:Loogh Member:Hustley
Stratigraphy comments: Lower Givetian
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: marl
Environment:reef, buildup or bioherm
Geology comments: The outcrop yielded well-preserved macrofossils, which are mainly embedded between localised stromatoporoid-coral biostromes, in marly deposits. It displays a wide spectrum of epibionts encrusting every available hard surface: microconchids, bryozoans, tabulate and rugose corals, chaetitids, crinoid holdfasts and brachiopods. Encrusting bryozoans occur preferentially on corals and brachiopods.
