Lithology description: 12.0-15.0 Brown weathering sandy shale with limestone float. 9.0-12.0 Covered shale surface yields limonitic concretions weathers gray-tan, gray on fresh surface. 7.5-9.0 Gray shale, weathers brown-tan and clayey contains limonitic concretions. 7.5-5.5 Covered shale, dark gray-black, weathers gray and phosphate nodules. 3.7-4.0 Black shale weathering dark gray and shaley with phosphate nodules weathers sparing to non-fossiliferous on surface 3.3-3.7 Dark gray shales, weathers brown-tan and clay with limonitic and calcitic concretions.
