Geology comments: 'these lower layers were divided by a 30-40cm thick layer of calcite sediment from those above. the lower layerr are brown but not reddish in colour as are the usual, similar aged sediments of the Lower Pleistocene; this is perhaps explained by the northern exposure of the rock shelter.' |
