Lithology description: Layer M1 consists of trough cross-bedded sandstone: pebble lags and rip-up clasts, fining-upwards sequence, trough cross-bedding, fossil plant detritus, fossil logs parralel and perpendicular to channels. Layer M2 consists of interbedded siltstone and mudstone: small-scale interbedding, fine-grained, ripple laminations and lower flow-regime plane beds, diverse in situ macrofloras. Layer M3 consists of ripple-laminated sandstones: fine-grained, planar bedded and ripple laminated, beds <1m thick: minor beds of mudstone. | |
