Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:brown,gray lithified silty,sandy "limestone"
Secondary lithology:gray,green silty "shale"
Lithology description: shale, black, fissile, noncalcareous, contains nodules and thin lenticular layers of limestone. limestone, dark gray to brown, silty, sandy textured, poorly bedded, interbeded with greenish gray silty shale.
Environment:offshore Tectonic setting:cratonic basin
Geology comments: Some of the upper Heath MAY be estuarine/non-marine as noted by the author. These localities contain wood and other plant fragments, are non-calcareous and contain no marine fossils. These localities have been omitted by me [MS].
