Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: lithified claystone
Lithology description: The beds frequently contain accumulated biodetritus, mainly Echinodermata-debris and Bivalve-shell. The marly claystone is subdivided through layers of pyrite nodules, accumulations of limeconcretions and finley distributed Bivalve-(Bositra)-shell, having a quite disturbed sedimentsuccesion.
Environment:offshore
Geology comments: In the south-german basin (Süddeutsches Becken) located at the northern margin of the Thetys. About 50 km away from shore
