Lithology description: The Cairn Formation in the White Man Gap area forms part of the northwest trending Rundle thrust sheet and overlies the Upper Cambrian Lynx Group uconformably. Cairn Formation is a medium to dark grey, fine crystalline dolostone and is overlain by the Peechee Member of the Southesk Formation which is a white to light grey, medium crystalline dolostone. The Cairn Formation is part of the Fairholme Reef Complex[....]and forms the lowest stratigraphic unit. Dimensions: 6.2 Km by 210 m section
