Reason for describing collection: | biostratigraphic analysis |
Collectors: | W. H. Fritz and J. S. Hollingsworth |
Collection method comments: "The trilobites of the Fritzaspis assemblage are rare and difficult to find, while brachiopods are much more abundant. Over several field sessions, a total of about 200 hours were spent searching this stratigraphic interval to produce a collection of 60 cephala and a few large cephalic fragments. Over 50 hours were spent similarly searching the Andrews Mountain Member below this interval without finding any trilobite material; only trace fossils and two indistinct hyoliths were discovered." |
