Primary lithology:nodular,gray lithified cherty/siliceous "limestone"
Lithology description: Thinly bedded (0.02-0.10 m), light grayish nodular limestones and platy filamentous limestones, with small-size dark coloured chert nodules alternating with grayish marly shales and greenish-gray tuffaceous ‘Pietra Verde’ layers; rare beds of reddish-whitish limestones with pinkish chert nodules; at the top of the lower half of the unit a distinct bed (0.35 m thick) is made up of light gray massive limestones with whitish spots (burrows?) filled by silica.
