Stratigraphy
Geological group:Passa Dois Formation:Rio do Rasto
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: The beds from which vertebrates come are correlated with the Tapinocephalus Assemblage Zone (Karroo) and the Isheevo Complex (Russia), which are Capitanian or Wordian to Capitanian in age (Cisneros et al. 2005, fig. 6; Tsuji & Müller, 2008, Can. J. Earth Sci. 45, fig. 2). For discussion see Cisneros et al. (2005, p. 21).

Subsequently suggested to be of Roadian to Wordian age on the basis of the temnospondyls from this local area by Pacheco et al. (2017)
