Stratigraphy
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: marl
Lithology description: Marls, sometimes silty, predominate up to 19 m from the base of the section. Between 19 and 38 m the marls are interbedded with clayey limestones, laminites and rare sandstones. Some of the laminites yielded fish remains (scales and otoliths) and pteropods shells. Sandstones show normal grading above the contact with firmgrounds. Between 38 and 50 m bioclastic limestones dominate, interbedded with laminated marls and clayey, laminated or sandy limestones. Bioclastic limestones can display mm-sized voids, cm-thick laminae and some decimetre-long hummocky cross stratifications (HCS).
Environment:marine indet.
