Stratigraphy comments: A foraminiferal sample from OU 22466 includes the species Globorotalia [Globoturborotalita] connecta (upper Waitakian to basal Altonian Stage), and Haeus- lerella hectori (basal Waitakian to basal Altonian Stage). The ages above, from Hornibrook et al. (1989), indicate upper Waitakian to basal Altonian Stage, or in the range Chattian/Aquitanian to middle Burdigalian, 23 Ma to 18–19 Ma (Raine et al. 2015).
