Secondary lithology: "shale"
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: It is characterized by parallel bedded grey-white fine sandstones, that die out to the west. Internal erosion planes and cross-laminae are present. In one core fragment composed of grey sandstone with some thin shaly intercalations, the latter have yielded a well-preserved palynological assemblage. Tintinnida, remains of Foraminifera, and the abundance of Acritarcha point to marine conditions.
