Stratigraphy
Formation:Steinvika Limestone Member:Skavraker
Stratigraphic resolution:member
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:bioturbation lithified argillaceous lime mudstone
Secondary lithology: "shale"
Lithology description: At Skavråker the lowermost 3.6 m of the member consist of pale calcilutites with subordinate argillaceous mudstones. The latter occur as thin, wispy, and discontinuous laminae and impart a reticulate aspect to the pale calcilutites. The mudstone is highly bioturbated.
Environment:deep subtidal shelf
Geology comments: Interbedded thinly laminated bioclastic calcilutites and argillaceous mudstones
