Stratigraphy comments: Tavildara = late Magian suite. Upper Miocene (MN12), Late Turolian. Strongly carbonised, hard aleurites of dark and light brown colour. The fossiliferous horizon which is 20-30cm thick, lies in the upper part of the section, 40m above the level of the river with an inclination of 3-5 degrees south. |
