Stratigraphy comments: Middle Villafranchina, Late Pliocene, MN17. The middle part of the Ilian suite. 'the bone-bearing horizon of Adyrgan occurs in a reversely magnetised zone (R2), which was interpreted as the lower part of the Matuyama chron.'
