Stratigraphy
Formation:Cercado
Local section:El Moro
Stratigraphic resolution:group of beds
Stratigraphy comments: The section starts at sea level with claystone and continues for close to 700 ft with alternating claystone, limestones and uncommon sands. At 675-825 ft the section is capped by a limeston. From unknown formation (Possibly Cercado, Gurabo or Mao) at the time of writing. Faunal similarities suggest that this unit is correlated with strata more recently assigned to the Cercadi Fm.
