Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:planar lamination,gray "limestone"
Lithology description: "uppermost (2 m thick) part of the formation comprises gray, micritic limestone rhythmically bedded in 5 cm with nodular surface... Thin layers of acidic tuff, less than 10 cm thick, occur at 8 horizons [separating the fossiliferous beds]"
Environment:carbonate indet.
Geology comments: entire section is mostly proximate "to a carbonate platform" but chert incalacations are from "a slightly deeper environment than platform"
