Stratigraphy comments: Caster refers to rocks as Floresta Series. Barrett (Refs. 9602, 9639) seems to suggest that fossiliferous samples are large Emsian to Eifelian in age. Caster suggests correspondences with a number of Lower and Middle Devonian faunas elsewhere. Pastor-Chacón, Reyes-Abril, Cáceres-Guevara, Sarmiento & Cramer 2013 make it Frasnian.

Collection method comments: Olsson and Dickey collected material described by Caster and by McNair. Morales lists only those taxa that were not already reported by these previous authors.
Taxonomic list comments:Caster and McNair lists are old, but I have not yet been able to find a general systematic revision of Caster and McNair's work.
