Secondary lithology:yellow sandstone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: "an alternation of yellowish quartzite sandstones and solid fangolites of red color...the fossiliferous level belongs to a level of red-brown fangolites approximately 3 m thick, characterized by the presence of an elevated content of heterometric detrital grains of sand and microconglomerate size, of natural silica and carbonate. The detritals are encountered irregularly distributed, observed in addition to the presence of carbonate nodules of possible pedogenic origin and small cylindrical galleries of transported invertebrates, which are not encountered 'in situ'." Deposit associated with "plant strings".
Environment:alluvial fan
Geology comments: fluvial system of sandy-gravel channel interfaces, deposited in a dense fluid ("fangoso")
