Formation:Kirtland Member:Hunter Wash
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: Lowermost part of the Kirtland Formation (Scott et al., 1979). Hunt and Lucas (1992) have named this the Hunter Wash Member of the Kirtland Formation, and Clemens (1973) referred to it as the Hunter Wash local fauna. It is Late Campanian in age based on Hunt and Lucas (1992) and the dating of the nearby magnetozones as roughly 73–74 mya (Fassett and Steiner, 1997).
