The corresponding microfloras are of Early Eocene age.
Lithology and environment
Primary lithology:planar lamination claystone
Secondary lithology: siltstone
Includes fossils?Y
Lithology description: The local strata consist of tuff and mudstone, claystone and siltite interbedded with sandy laters., somewhat more than 8 m thick on a single section line in the center of the outcrop, representing a volcanic lacustrine environment probably located near a lake margin. Most of the macrofossils at the site occur in a blocky, sity mudstone unit of 1 m thickness.
Environment:lacustrine deltaic indet.
Geology comments: Microflora correspond to sediments of the eastern most volcanic arc (of Paleocene to Eocene age) of northwestern extra-andean Patagonia.
