Stratigraphy comments: Assigned a Carnian age based on paleoflora and Nielsen (in press) by Gallego et al. (2005), but others have proposed Upper Carnian/Lower Norian (based on marine molluscs) or Upper Carnian to Lower Rhaetian (also on paleoflora).
