Lithology and environment
Primary lithology: conglomerate
Lithology description: Saunders et al., 1986, describes this locality as having "conglomeratic lenses with fossils." The locality is at the bottom of the Gurabo Formation on the Rio Cana (New Gurabo/Cercado boundary updated from McNeill et al, 2012). Saunders further describes this section as having sands and silty sands with several distinct shell beds predominantly composed of Arca, but also rich in oysters and sometimes passing laterally into conglomerates.
Environment:paralic indet.
Geology comments: This locality is among the Arca beds of Saunders et al., 1986, which indicates a brackish water environment.
