Lithology description: "The Isrand Formation at Kilen appears to be a monotonic succession of laminated or massive-appearing black shale/mudstone with recurring concretionary intervals. Fissility is variably developed and no bioturbation was observed. Complete characterization of the range of facies and delineation of stratigraphic variability of the Isrand Fm require additional fieldwork." (Alsen et al. 2017)
