When: Himavatites hogarti ammonoid zone, Nayband Formation, Alaunian (215.6 - 212.0 Ma)

Environment/lithology: platform or shelf-margin reef; lithified, calcareous limestone

• The succession consists of marls with some sandstone layers and two intercalated units of marly limestone (samples 11/52 and 11/53; each <1 m thickness), 15 m apart. The upper of these marly and bivalve/gastropod-rich limestone. Both limestone beds also provided early Middle Norian platform conodonts of the genus Epigondolella.
