Stratigraphy
Formation:Benton Shale
Stratigraphy comments: said by Wu et al. 2001 to be early Turonian, but the Benton Shale is "now divided into (descending) Carlile shale, Greenhorn limestone, and Granerous shale" in parts of Wyoming and Colorado and the "Carlile shale, Frontier formation, Mowry shale, and Thermopolis shale" elsewhere in Wyoming (Beath et al. 1939 [see also Eicher 1965]); this basically means everything between the Dakota and Niobrara and therefore could be either Cenomanian or Turonian
