Stratigraphy
Formation: | Phra Wihan | ||||
Stratigraphic resolution: | bed | ||||
Stratigraphy comments: Unit ms4. These fossiliferous beds represent a short period during deposition in the Upper Triassic to Upper Jurassic Nan - Phayao Basin. The exact stratigraphic age of the fossils is unknown due to the lack of index species in the non-marine series. Ward & Bunnag (1964) suggested a Middle Jurassic age for the Phra Wihan Formation from its relative position within the succession. |
