Paleocoordinates:51.3° North, 139.5° East (Wright 2013)
Basis of coordinate:estimated from map
Geographic resolution:hand sample
Time
Period: Cretaceous Epoch: Late Cretaceous
Stage: Coniacian 10 m.y. bin: Cretaceous 6
Key time interval: Late Coniacian Inoceramid zone:  Inoceramus uwajimensis
Age range of interval: 89.8 - 85.7 m.y. ago
Stratigraphy
Geological group:Yezo
Stratigraphic resolution:bed
Stratigraphy comments: Probably derived from the Member U2, the lower part of the Upper Yezo Group. In the same nodule Scaphites pseudoequalis and I. cf. uwajimensis were contained abundantly. Thus, the age is probably early to middle (?) Coniacian. PJW: Inoceramus uwajimensis (= Inoceramus undabundus) zone is equivalent to the Inoceramus stantoni elsewhere, which is Late Coniacian.
